Call for Inputs into the first Global Stocktake

Call for Inputs into the first Global Stocktake

The Global Stocktake of the Paris Agreement (GST) is a UNFCCC process for taking stock of the implementation of the Paris Agreement with the aim to assess the world’s collective progress towards achieving the purpose of the agreement and its long-term goals.

UUCN are considering coordinating a submission to the GST via an input into the third meeting of the Technical Dialogue taking place in June 2023. The deadline for input is 6 March 2023. As the remit of the GST is so broad, we suggest focusing our attention on the overall effect of Parties’ NDCs and progress made towards implementation. We plan to convene a meeting in the next couple of weeks to discuss this further. If you are interested in contributing, please contact Stephen Davison (sd489@cam.ac.uk). Please also let us know if you are interested in leading the submission.
